Every collection I paint has a reason or feeling behind it but when I am not painting a collection, I squeeze in the pieces that I want to paint that are ideas that are just laying around. They may or may not make sense to you but every one of my pieces has a story. Don't be afraid to ask, I'd be more than happy to share them with you.
